Thanks! Wish this would have been available a few months ago!

I have some questions about AIW that I have been unable to resolve.

Can you help with rolling start configuration?

How can I make standing start AI cars accelerate faster?

Is there a way to make AI cars go faster through one section of track?

I've been working on a Karting track that the AI qualify faster than I would like tem to, yet in the race they are slower than I would like them to be.

In a future video you may want to add the special slow down points for the pit lane entrance.

Err dont laugh!! I havent a clue. Ive never made a track with a rolling start in place so I honestly havent a clue. But I do know if you have yellow flags turned on the pace car does come out as I swear alot when I forget to turn them off! :)

Fantastic tutorial video. Cool voice too! LOL!

Actually this would have been a great benefit to me a few months ago. I have since learned much of this process by trial and error. There was one thing that interested me with the placement of the safety car. I'm curious to know if you place the Aux Locations where you did in the video does this prevent the safety car from acting as a pace car on rolling starts?

Very well put together though and this should benefit many new track builders in the rfactor world!

Thanks for all you do!

@g8r: If you find the green flag keeps reverting back to the start/finish line than keep moving the teleport positions back farther. Sometimes, depending on the size/shape of the track the teleport needs to be well behind.

Thanks Madcowie. I would love to see more videos like this. Especially more AIW and car/track modeling. In the dirt community we could use more good AI because some people prefer to practice offline. I've never done any track editing etc. and seeing it done really makes all the difference.

I watched all of the 15 minutes and 21 seconds of this video. I am cluess as to how to do a track, nevermind the AI for it. I was engrossed with the effort it took to do just the AI.

It just made me appreciate even more how much talent and effort goes into producing a quality track. I know there are numerous steps before the AI is even done, and how you gentlemen do it boggles my brain!

Thank you Mr. Madcowie and all you track and car modders so very, very much!

Is the left/inside path not required? Also if you dont use the ZR you will have to edit the fuel usage to some number so that the cars dont pit after one lap. If you dont mind me asking what software / settings do you use to record the video....its very good.

Thanks Madcowie. I've made many before, but its good to have something to see how others make them when something goes wrong. As for the green flag drop. It seems at times no matter where you put the teleport position it reverts back to the start finish line.

Good video. But I also am confused on which editor to use. AM I to assume it is the "AIW cam" editor under mod tools? Makes it look like even I could do this.

Hay I like this comment. "I'm no track builder, but just for understanding a little more about how our sims work that was a truly engrossing watch :)
by Pierre61 on 09-Apr-08" This is a good reason to make stuff like this also and then the guys who dont do this kind of thing can see whats envolved or maybe spark interest in attempting something themselves.

Nice video, cheers Madcowie.

Which particular editor is this, that you use?
I am trying to build my first track at the moment.

yeah you can turn on fast line and highlight the points so the markers are red then press ctrl and right and left keys to move the line and then smooth it either side.

The green flag of a rolling start is triggered by the number one teleport position.

If the track is already made and all but the AI are just hitting the wall as they go to enter the pit lane, how do we correct this? Ist there any way to see the path in the aiw file and correct it?
Thanks

Ha ha download it from Rfactor website.

As for multi path racing lines I dont have a clue and I dont know if there even possible with this aiw editing tool. Maybe someone else could help with this matter as im also interested. Also I have very little experience with rolling starts as everything ive done so far doesnt have rolling starts but I dont imagine them to be too hard. Will try and get a few guys to post in here about them and see how that works out.
