re: Vanport International Raceway Open the SCN file for the layout your using.
Find the line:
Instance=startlightb01
Replace it with:
Instance=startlight
Will not cause mismatches.
Make sure you backup the files before you make any changes.

re: EOAA DBR9 Challenge I wouldn't worry too much about being persecuted, the sites suffering a few missing items from the server change I presume. Some comments and screenshots have gone missing. Prehaps some links too then.

re: Montreal 2008 Progress is coming along well. I finished adding marbles last night.
Layout has been tweaked finally, the entrance to the first chicane after S1 is still too wide but I don't have time to fix that.
The AIW has been updated however cut detection does not work as well as we might like. So there will be two versions of the track, one with added tyre walls to prevent cutting, but allow drivers to rejoin the track slowly, and another with out these.
Still to add skid marks, and updated distance markers. The old ones were just simply the wrong style.
I don't think I'll have time to do a wet layout tbh. It may come in a future patch.
The track will be released next weekend or it wont be released till late September. I'm going away soon so if it's not out then it wont be out for a while.
So a few other items might well get the chop. I'll try and find some time to do some new screenshots soon.

re: Putnam Park Not sure why the files arent installed to non default installations, they work fine for me.
You need those 5 files as they are custom shaders.

re: Putnam Park I have added a link to an extra set of start/finish lights.
Just drop into your Putnam Park folder and does not create mismatches.

re: Montreal 2008 >Siggs, we started work before 6e660 released his, and its best to use all your own material where posible anyhow.
>flochi, yes we have fixed the chicane, pitentrance, pitexit, turn1 and shortened the track by about 50m from length to length as it was too long. We also added elevation changes in the left kink after the final hairpin :)

re: Putnam Park We have been working on v1.1 of this track, and progress is coming along nicely.
+ At present we have redone the grass with a new shader from ISI
+ Reworked the trees using more advanced shaders.
+ Comprehensive Shader overhaul for Nvidia cards, meaning you should run this track with out LOD clamp enabled for optimum detail.
+ Tweaked wet weather lighting values (lighter now)
+ Other little fixes like tweaked camera lod bias to provide better detail.

re: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course And it's comments like that which make modders loose all motivation to release stuff. Much more fun just to share it amongst friends and not have to deal with that type of stuff.

re: GZ Street_GP Junger your so far off the mark its untrue.
So if someone wants to make tracks or cars for a full time occupation its not allowed? Really, you wonder why theirs a lack of development in sim racing games. Jeez.
Modding is dying a slow death, look at how many mods have been released from scratch with more than one car. You can count them on one hand. Look how many tracks have been released that are close to commercial quality. Once again you can count them on one hand.
You know where all the modders are going? They're going where someone will pay for their work, so that they can do the thing they love doing as a full time job, and actually have a life outside of it. Scary that thought isn't it.
Only difference is you dont see their work ever now.

re: GZ Street_GP re Pete: The reaction here shows why 99% of modders just cant be doing with the hassle and the rubbish they'd get thrown their way if they dare to charge for something.

re: GZ Street_GP Not paying for a track because its not the right type of track for you, or you have an old pc etc, its perfectly justifiable.
Not paying for a track just because you want to be given everything for free will hold this community back forever.

re: Not bad, I think you might have done something a bit wrong though, as it looks too dark I think.
