re: Eastern Creek Laser Not really tested the track yet but going by the screenshots it looks like your the only person aside myself using satellite imagery in your terrain. The tracks I've used it on are private releases unfortunatly. A top though perhaps, it looks like your doing a mul and add of a grass detial map tiled heavy over the satellite imagery as a base. Perhaps try this instead. Find a good base grass or ground texture that looks like what you would see looking over a large area of the ground at this track. Tile that map moderatly as your base map, usually a 512 square texture perhaps with grass and spotty dirt areas, much like most tracks base texture. Then turn your satellite image texture you have laid over the terrain now into your mul map on channel 2, likely you'll need to brighten and increase the contrast a bit on the image. Now you have a base grass, with your satellite images texture creating the light and dark spots like it has in real life as well as color tones, so from afar it should still look a lot like you have now. Finally make your add map on channel 3 your detailed grass map for the close in grass texture, usually a 256 texture tiled heavily, much like your mul/add map now. This will give you your close detail as well as do darken over those first two channels so your colors should look right which is why I said lighten that mul map. Trust me on this, it looks really good, gives the effect you wanted hear without looking as bland close or afar as really only difference is your adding in one more diverse tiling to the mix, that will make it a whole lot less obvious that the satellite image is large and stretched.
