re: Bathurst Legends 1969
Using the word "I" in your post eleven times murphus tells everybody everything they need to know.

It's always the "me", "myself" and "i" people on the world that produce nothing in terms of meaningful results and criticize everybody else.

re: Bathurst Legends 1969
In the XWGTHO_Spinner.gen file, need the following added:

MeshFile= CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowCaster=(True, Solid, 128, 128) LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(15.0) Reflect=True

Adding the "Reflect=True" to each of the tyres allows them to have a reflection in the spinner, and not just the shell.

re: Bathurst Legends 1969
A bit of feedback about the model and textures.

The Falcon from behind has a couple of issues. A triangular sawtooth pattern in the rear window. The rear window does not sit out into the shape of the car. It is slightly caved in with this strange triangular reflection through it.

http://www.omr.com.au/img/pictures/falcon.jpg

And the rear brake lights dont sit in the model when they come on.

The Monaro is OK for windows. Just the driver is too bright in the car. Flourescent orange boots.

http://www.omr.com.au/img/pictures/monaro.jpg

The guy is visible from 500m away. The car is a little bright, maybe just needs more contrast added to make the darker sections darker.

In the V8 Supercars, there is an extra layer of dark shading around the bottom of the car to give it more contrast.

Like a pre-shadow.

re: Bathurst Legends 1969
Love the mod.

The sounds are top quality. Just the look and feel of the cars on the track is sensational. Anyone in Australia with a memory of car racing will love these things.

Only things people commented on from first impressions:

(i) Tyres scrub the whole way around the Bathurst track in the Falcon. For those who turn the skidding and scrubbing volumes up, it sounds like the hand brake has been left on. Have to turn the engine volume up a lot more to compensate, which is no problem.

(ii) The bumper cam is too high compared to other mods. It sits above the roof in height, rather than on the bumper or nose of the car. Driving in the cockpit was OK, and the bonnet cam was cool too.

These are only tiny things compared to the many positives which the mod has.

The skins are excellent, and the sounds are phenomenal.

Overall great work. Hall fo Fame for sure!

re: Luckendorfer Bergrennen
From a safety perspective, some of those trees are looking awefully close to the edge of the track.

re: 1995 CART Season
Having a few issues with bumpiness on Cleveland and Vanport.

They suddenly become massively bumpy.

On Long Beach, they were supreme.

re: 1995 CART Season
These are insane. Not as grippy and easy to drive as the 2006 CCWS, but a whole heap of fun.

The sounds are great.

The models are some of the best looking ones we have seen and the skins are excellent. On the starting grid, they can give a frame hit with many cars. Should be easy to solve.

Another excellent mod for rFactor. Well done!

re: Bathurst Legends 1969
It takes balls to nominate a date for a mod release and we are hoping that more mod developers would do it.

Strange thing is that this mod has already leaked out in a couple of directions. OMR wont be looking at the mod until it is officially released.

More team name typos:

Monster Engergy = Monster Energy

Great skin that one too.

re: Serie Internationale Du Mans
Still going through this mod to determine who gets what car in the championship. Love the slight variations in the car skins, performance and details.

Not a big one, but all the LMP1 DOME teams except for the ELF are spelt IMLS instead of ILMS. Not sure about the LMP2 teams.

Given that every team name contains ILMS, you guys may as well knock that out of the descriptive name, and just keep the team names.

re: Serie Internationale Du Mans
Just organising a championship of these things now for September. Dont really need the GT cars if they are off the pace by so much.

Everyone in the group gave the mod the nod. The cars race well and respond very well to setup changes if you need to fix any issues with the feel of the car.

Some of the skins are supreme. The JPS Audi, Penske Porsche, Vodafone Dome, Deutsche Telekom Lola and the Crown Royal Pescarola were exceptional quality.

The ING Porsche just needs more colour saturation. The orange is a bit flat and by just saturating the skin, it comes to life.

But overall, great stuff again. Cant wait until we race these things.

re: Serie Internationale Du Mans
OK,

The Lola and the Dome in the LMP1 section have internal sounds which are too low in frequency.

Only tested a couple of cars, and at 8-9000 revs, they both sound like they are half rev-range and cruising rather than screaming with any gusto.

Compared to the other LMP1 cars, they sounded synthetic. Just need a bit of growl.

Apart from that, that physics were good, and we cannot wait to race these in a championship later in the year.

The Spyder was heaps of fun.

Great mod!

Cheers Gollum,

OMR will hopefully be starting a league starting in September, but we need some time to paint some new cars up for our members.

Looking forward to this mod.

re: Vancouver
The model itself is virtually 100% complete. The textures and track features are not finished.

Needs some solid objects like street lights and traffic lights and some new trees. There is a dome building near the track, but making that is a monumental task.

More the little things like the Adelaide track has.

Curb markings and surfacing, braking grooves, pedestrian crossings, intersections and lane markings. These road textures really help define the quality of street circuits.

The road surface is pretty much one colour at the moment.

We need someone else to take over as Nobutora stated "I don't have enough time to finish this, this will be stopped for some months I suppose, sorry guys."

re: Grand Prix 1979
Amazing mod to race in a group.

The cockpits are great. The sounds are fantastic, and the physics are exeptional.

Having alternate setups for each car is pretty cool.

Virtual Mirrors have wrong aspect. Too wide, so when someone comes up behind you, it really puts you off.

re: Serie Internationale Du Mans
Can someone post a URL with some screenshots from another mod of the GT's which people are referencing should belong to this group of cars.

Do they actually compete on the same level with the LMP's?

re: 2007 Endurance Touring Car Series
Way too grippy.

The Audi and the Seat can just be flogged around Adelaide with your foot flat on the floor (either brake or accelerator) 100% and the car will never come loose.

The BMW's are OK, but again, hard to lose under brakes or coming out of a corner.

The external sounds on the BMW's are excellent.

They are the best cars in this mod. You can really hang the BMW's out sideways around a corner.
