re: instead of spreading misunderstanding and disagreement I suggest you put your own hands into some project. I'm sure u can do wornderful modding, otherwise u would not be so derisive on other people's work.
By the way, u are the same nazi from orkut, aren't u?

re: Realistic Helmet View FSone 07 Help needed.
Based on the discussions here I would like to know from experienced (or not so much) modders: is there a way to make models stuck on screen? I mean. enable them to be immune to inertia. this would completely solve the issue.

re: Realistic Helmet View FSone 07 Bleddyn,
I see your point and physiscs explain that... as I said I talked to some people who study the subject and I really tend to agree with you.
I have managed that decreasing the effect of headphysics in plr, as I said.
The advantege of this helmet (taking cara to properly edit plr file) is the possibility of glowing maps, wich is not possible in tv style. It is also an attemp of solving flickering (especially on ISI tracks such as silverstone and some other tracks). I set my head physics to 20%, what makes the helmet vibrate but not move so much in relation to x y z axis. for me it is a good solution because of my weak videocard, which makes necessary to set day video swap on. When I set this using tv style, helmet disappears and below to 20 framerate, and with this helmet view I brought from my f1C version I have no problem anymore.
In fact, it was something I have done for myself and decided to share...
But I repeat againg: your explanations concerning physics convinced me.
Maybe it would be a good idea to enable this helmet view in the cases I describe above, and keep using tv style in other cases.
Anyway, I'll give it a break for now, because my masters dissertation deadline is around the corner and I have todo something about that either. :-)
Regards

re: Realistic Helmet View FSone 07 Looking at some videos and discussing with some frieds that study physics...
Maybe you guys are right and I'll quit this and delete the mod,
but that tv style flickering in some tracks really disturbs me.
Also, Helmet View takes long to appear whe using delay video swap plr option, which I really need to improve fps. And we have no sunlight in visere in tv style either.
I'm used to making these helmet views for F! Challenge (which I haven't seen any other way to do that) and I brought this as a kind of solution for this problem, but it seems it was not very welcome here.

re: Realistic Helmet View FSone 07 well I guess this is a mater of personal taste, but if you set head physics as I said, movement will not be so drastic.
Besides, the system head+helmet shoud move (vibrate and move left/right as well) in relation to cockpit, unless your helmet is completely glued to cockpit (and not even hans does that). Besides that, we can never compere "jumps" with extreme bumps in a racecar.
I agree with gp4 feak that head+helemet shoud not be so independente, but editing plr will help minimizing that.
Anyway, as static helemt as the one in tv style is not that realistic either.

re: Realistic Helmet View FSone 07 would anyone lend me a hand with glowing maps? I can't get them to work in dx7.
is there a way to optimize these textures to make them work?
This helmet view in dx9 shows sunlight effect over visere, but nothing happens in dx7... Colors are also much more vivid in dx9.
I would appreciate some help.

re: FSONE 2007 how can I set ferrari to use non tobacco as default skin for AI.
Is there a way to make each skin specific to track?

re: Realistic Helmet View FSone 07 why using this instead of tv style Helmet View in my opinion:
this does not hide onscreen info, such as pit menu.
about head movement, as I said, you can edit your plr file to Head physics=0.25 and head will not move that much.
But it is up to you guys, I myself painted some tv style overlays for 2007 and 2008 helmet views, but i'd rather use this moveable version.

re: Realistic Helmet View FSone 07 I'll try to make it to some other mods.
looking forward to make it for carrera4's 1988 season.
But it is a hard job, since all gmt files have to be aligned to each car specifically...

re: Jacarepagua 1988 kreoutsis,
The track must be extracted into \GameData\Locations\F1_1988_C4
if u do not have a F1_1988_C4 you have to create one in the locations folder.
I hope that helps.

re: Jacarepagua 1988 very googd carrera. everything looks great. I'll just write a suggestion that people dowload this instead of my Jacarepagua convertion, since the layout is wonderful.
As I told u in another opportunity that track was just a way to have a Jacarepagua and let u work easily.
Thanks again.

re: theproble is that I'm still unable to remove the old links.
I don't know why it appears 1.0... there is no 1.0 version, the newest is 0.95. I deleted the files for the old version in the donwload server.
About naming it 88... it should have been "88 sponsors", but I still can't chage trat either. I have both versions of Jacarepagua here and mine and the other owne available here and there s no conflict...
If I could I would upload everything again, but I can't delete this... howeve3r, the problems refers only to naming.

re: Jacarepagua rFBrasil Great job, guys. I hope you don't understand my convertion as an attemp of competiton... I was just anxious for the track realease and decided to try a convertion myself. I did not want you to work in a hurry. I learned a lot from that ;-)
You version is certainly more beutiful than mine... I really liked what I saw. Anyway, I'll keep my version here just as an option for those who miss the 80s billboards.

re: warbaby71,
I ujnderstand your criticism.
But in the description I warn that this is my first convertion and the track was not changed in terms of layout from the original f1C version.
Again, onl the sponsors are from 88 season.
About authorship,
I tend to agree with the comments beloww that claim this is american paranoia, since I explicitly mention the souce from where I took original files, but the site has some rules and I just trying to follow them, since I agreed to follow o them when I subscribed, although I think authorship is questionable in game moddin, especially.

re: Monaco New Layout beautiful track. it is a pitty my pc does not support it in fps terms.
I have a GeForce Fx5200 128Mb.
Do you think there is any other version of this circuit that would do for me.
I tried to convert my F1C version for personal use but did not succeed.
Althoug I can't delight myself due to this hardware limitation, keep up the googd work.
