Post a 1991 F1 Historic Edition Comment
this mod is awesome nut physics are too strange and the cars are too understeering at high speed but too nervous at slow speed...

best mod from SR team is still the 1992 one.

This mod is fantastic, although the Jordan 191 changes into neutral when I brake, then loses rear traction when I apply a moderate amount of throttle.
Another small issue is the sound looping, which is a little bit off. This is particularly noticeable at tracks where most of the time is spent at top speed (Brianza Full and Jacksonville for example). It sounds as if the car is changing gear every 15-20 seconds (have only tested this in the Williams).
But as I said before, fantastic mod. I particularly like using it to race around tight street circuits, such as Monaco, Wellington, Canberra etc.

Half the files are corrupted, I just wasted 700 MB of bandwidth. -.-
Edit: Sorry for that, I tried extracting again and it went full-time.

Decent mod and a good effort. Still, like every other F1 mod, there is a severe lack of grip throughout all of the cars. Even with hours of chassis adjustments, the cars still suffer from massive amounts of understeer followed by power oversteer on throttle (that is understandable). Just so much understeer even with alien shock settings that should inhibit turn in and mid corner oversteer. Best time at Suzuka GP4 was a 1:45, well off the actual qualifying pace. I do know that the cars at the time were not bobsleds like modern F1 cars but still, the cars themselves are still much slower than their real counterparts. The quality of the mod however is superb and I cannot question the extreme attention to detail put into each car including even the backmarker Coloni. Hopefully in the future, we can see an update giving these cars a bit more front end grip like the 1992 and 1993 league editions. Those cars are far more realistic as those exibit some form of mechanical grip.

Fantastic Mod guys, most realistic old skool f1 mod availabale. in order to make the correct track pack for the 1991 season, i used 3 track packs overall, carrera 4's 1988, SRM's 1990 and F1SR's 1993, that way you can run the correct tracks according to the 1991 season.

Fantastic mod guys
Really is the business! That is about a year of i've been playing this mod off and online and it is fantastic! Great details and the sounds are eargasmic! :')
To all of those who are wanting a track pack - I would recommend the SRM F1 1990 Track Pack, can't give a link as they all seem to die on a frequent basis but google around
james montgomery on Jun-26-2012
This mod is great, incredibly realistic.
BUT
AI wont pit for tyres -they drive the whole race on one set. I tested Phoenix 81 laps. And nobody pittet for tyres -only for broken wings and nosecones but never for tyres only -why is that
ALSO in readme it says "Thank you for downloading the F1SR F1-1991 mod Historic Edition for rFactor. ... Expect to see lots of sparks."
But I havent seen any sparks, none. Perhaps I should tweak something -But what?
Help me
Thank you!

Superb job thank YOU ALL i cannot imagine how hard it must had been to finish this mod.
Mistwaver i am olny asking do you contribute to racing society? If you have all the tracks just upload them in Mistwaver F1-1991 trackpack.
Blisk on May-28-2012
Mistwaver..I can understand your concern in regards to the tracks. I think the best thing to do is use the 1994 tracks if I'm not mistaken this seasons schedule wasn't much different. I have the 1993 kyalami and when I installed 1994 TP it puts them together (dir) probably so you can run a season with the 1993 MOD. You gotta remember these people take time out of their personal lives to bring us these wips and on top of that their free..not every mod is gonna have a track pack friend.
