Lightning in a World of Thunder

In a world where thundering Supercars routinely crest 3500 lbs, the track-tested and tuned 2350 lb. GTM is a refreshing return to sportscar fundamentals. Factory Five lightning strikes with a hp/wt ratio similar to that of a Daytona Prototype. With a stock LS7 powerplant, the car maintains a 4.8 lbs per hp ratio. Connected to the pavement via huge 335 series rear tires, it enjoys acceleration numbers better than almost any production vehicle on the road today.

The GTM is faster 0-60 mph than a Ferrari Enzo, a Porsche GT, a Saleen Twin Turbo S7, a Ford GT, and a Lamborghini Mucielago*! The GTM even beats out a Champ car to 60 mph! **

0-60 in 3.0 seconds!

0-100 in 6.6 seconds!

This is one fast car! I did a 2.03 on only my third lap of Bathurst in it. Might have to have a play with the gears file because I'm sure I could crack a 1.59 with better suited ratios

@Rogenator. I think the cockpit vibration is in your .plr file. Open it and search for Cockpit Vibration

@crashman33 - normally I would've just done a patch, but in order to fix the brakes, I had to update two gmt files inside the .mas. I know I they can exist outside the mas file, but I just wanted to keep it clean. 51mb ain't that big

Hi Noxy looks like an upgrade is in your future, you really need to build a pc for gameing. My system runs fine and I have throttled back the FPS so it stays at 60fps and does not change. If i turn off the vert sync she runs at 400fps but gets a little warm, the vidio card which is a 9800GTX from PNY. so you know gameing systems are the way to go and mine is only middle road. I am not killing your system just an observation. Rogenator

Hey Gents how do I change cockpit vibration? I looked in the cockpit data and dont see adjustment for cocpit. No real race car has that much vibration if it did you would be in trouble! I love this Mod. Thank You Very Much!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rogenator

Great mod as i've said in an earlier post, but a full 51mb download for updating to v2.1 when a small patch would surely have sufficed guys?

Yes sir, adjustable gear ratio's would be so great.

@ NOxymoron - that is exactly what I was thinking. A stock G50 and possibly a fantasy adjustable gearbox as an upgrade option
PlickBadger on Apr-07-2011

@PlickBadger - if you do decide to do variable ratios on drive line, I think it should be an upgrade option. Just because if somebody bought and built this car I don't think they would be immediately spending $20-30,000 on tranny parts unless they were building it specifically for professional racing. Most would be doing it for hobby/amateur racing first and using the factory G50 ratios.

For all interested. Game server running, Middle Earth. Now using GTM 2.1 version and GP79 2.0 tracks with 2.5 updates.

It will still be only running evenings from approximately +/- 6 pm to 11 pm PST (GMT - 8)

15 minute qualifying, 10 lap races. Auto clutch only and 100% damage.
