This is an original creation of The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. No conversion work here. All new and original model work done by myself.
This track features 24 pit and garage locations, a working scoreboard courtesy of the DirtWizard team, working caution lights, updated sky textures courtesy of http://lfgrafix.com/grafix/home.html and Discocandy, and plenty of 3 wide racing. I've also updated the horizon textures to give racers the feeling they're actually in the desert.
Beta testing resulted in lots of close side by side action with racing all the way to the wall. Be careful with the inside berm if you're a bottom feeder though. It'll toss your car if you get up on it. Quick times so far have been in the high 16 second range.
The AIW file provides some great offline racing with AI cars using the DirtFactor mod. Cars are quick and challenging. I believe that some talent files for the AI would really make the racing great!
The only known issue with this track is when the safety car exits the track following a caution. For some reason the car stays on the track for the last lap before going back to green flag racing. Once the safety car reaches the start finish line it quickly heads to the pit road in turn 1 but in some cases will still be on the track when the field reaches turn 1. This only occures on green flag starts that follow a caution.
There may be an update released later to address grip factors for once the final version of DirtFactor is released. It should only be a simple .TDF file update.
Lastly I'd like to thank Justin Thompson for his assistance with the loading screens and default setups. I appreicate the extra help anytime I can get it.
I hope everyone enjoys my version of The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. And I look forward to future projects.
