the most iconic of Australian race tracks, here in its purest form, 60's early70's With no chicanes on conrod, just a flat out blast to Murrays.Theres not too many barriers either so stay off the grass.I wish to thank Krunch for the use of many of his tree and ground textures and his great sky in this track.I did not previously give credit for his good work.

We just had a race using Historics GT65's here...a total and complete laugh fest of a good time. In the little cars the straights can get a bit boring but never in the hills, and in the big cars it's all you can do to hold them in a straight line. Your hill crests are just perfectly crowned enough to cause a lot of white knuckle fear and havoc while still sometimes being able to get it right. We did have some 'over the fence' warping/jumping that meant we had to drive all the way to the pits in the 'backcountry' in order to rejoin...perhaps a break or two in the fence along the long straight to alleviate this? Also, once you go off the left side in the hill section it's near impossible to regain the track...perhaps adding just a tad more grip to that steep grassy section to help us climb our way out. Not much mind you as it should be a time penalty if you go down there, but just enough that it's possible to climb out. Other than that I thought the track was a real treat to drive. Except for the guard rails looking a bit to 'new technology' I thought the track showcased it's era in history quite nicely - I felt like I was back in 67 driving some old grungy road-turned-racetrack. Well done!

I'm very new to rFactior, had it just one week. I have sucessfully downloaded and installed a couple fo tracks, but i can't get '67 Bathurst to run. I see there are several appaerently identical download links listed, how do you know which one to pick and why are there several?

Nice track! The long straights are not as boring as I expected! I have one problem with the pitlane... When I start a session, I drive out of the 'carpark'. If I go directly onto the track and put off the speedlimiter, I get a fine for speeding in the pitlane. If I keep driving at the left of the track, where the stops are to be made, I get diqualified for driving the wrong way... What am I doing wrong? Or is it a problem of the track? Thnx for replies!

CrippleHorse, I think you have Slimjim and Slimjimm mixed up. They are two different people. Slimjim has done some nice conversions that I personally enjoy racing. I have no idea who Slimjimm is. He just showed up posting the other day. ken

The track can use some improvement indeed, especially with some holes that could be filled easily, the blurry stretched textures at the side of the road when going up the hill and the strangely positioned and wrongly resized cardboard crowd (better no crowd at all). It's no masterpiece but I've kept worse than that to my hard drive in lack of better alternatives, and it is quite possible that most of you will do the same.

Thanks very much for this track, there is a very good chance it will get used for some league racing at XGN in the Historix mod soon.
