Sachsenring_GP 1.00

Version 1.0 released 18-05-09

The Sachsenring racing circuit is located in Hohenstein-Ernstthal near Chemnitz in Saxony, Germany. Among other events, it features the annual German motorcycle Grand Prix of the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championship.

This is the modern layout. Not to be confused with the Sachsenring '67 that also can be downloaded from this website.

Nice track, but it has a problem.

If you cross the line by the left side of pit road (where the car do the pit stop), it doesn't count the lap.

Fantastic track, one of the most fun to drive, with all those twists, up and downs and bankings one feels like at the fun fair ! Unfortunately the kerbs send the AIs with their limited physics flying (while they are perfect to drive), which sort of ruins it for offline racers.

@ IJerichoI - 500m? Wo denn da? Bei mir sind es über 2km! *g* Ja, aber du hast recht die CocaCola-Kurve fällt deutlicher ab. Aber ich kann mir gut vorstellen das das erstellen einer solchen Strecke und das übertragen des Terrains in die virtuelle Welt nicht einfach ist. Es gibt bereits den Sachsenring für rFactor (weiß aber nicht ob dieser nur konvertiert wurde und ob das auch legal geschah) bei dem ist die Streckenführung sehr ordentlich. Bei dieser Version hier überzeugt mich die Texturenqualität und das Ambiente total. Der absolute Hammer wäre noch die Version des Rings von 1998 umzusetzen auf dem ja auch die DTM noch fuhr. *träum*

Sehr gut geworden die Strecke!!!

Zusätzlich zu Anubis' Vorschlägen, die ich beide bestätigen kann, hab ich noch 2 andere Sachen zum Streckenverlauf:
1. Kurve 1: hier hast du in der Mitte ne Kuppe, die Strecke fällt hier nach unten ab
2. Das Omega (lange rechts um die bäume herum) Diese Kurve hat einen einheitlichen Radius und wird weder enger noch weiter!
Ich habe noch massig Fotomaterial und einiges an Videos von der aktuellen Strecke, und da ich nur 500m entfernt wohne, kann ich auch fix mal nen paar Fotos schießen, wenn du möchtest!!
Optisch ist sie jedenfalls schonmal echt top!!

Very very very nice track! Two things. Shadows on curbs and cameras. Thats only what it needs to be perfect. AIW could be more wide in the last corner. Thank you very much for this
