Seriously, what’s going on lately? I’ve signed up to two new UK sites in the past couple weeks and both of them dangled a solid welcome bonus—then hit me with multiple rounds of verification. First the usual ID, then a utility bill, and now one wanted a selfie holding my passport… twice!
I get the need for security, especially with all the regs tightening up, but it’s starting to feel like a chore just to claim a few free bets. Back in the day it was deposit, play, done. Now it’s like applying for a mortgage.
Is this just me, or are more folks noticing the same thing? Wondering if it's just UK-facing platforms tightening up across the board.
