Best book for single-game betting in Canada?

Since single-game betting became legal in Canada, I’ve been trying out different sportsbooks to see which one actually gives the best odds. Figured I’d share my findings so far because, let’s be real, even a small odds difference can make a big impact over time.

I’ve been betting mostly on NHL (die-hard Leafs fan, even if they break my heart every season) and NFL, but I’ve checked out odds for basketball and soccer too. Here are my top picks based on odds, ease of use, and overall experience:

Bet365 – Consistently solid odds, especially on hockey. Live betting is top-tier, and they offer early cash-out options, which have saved me a couple of times when a game started going sideways.

Sports Interaction – Probably the most "Canadian" sportsbook out there. Their NHL odds are sometimes better than Bet365, especially on props. Easy to navigate, no issues withdrawing winnings.

Betway – If you like betting on the go, their app is super smooth. Their odds are usually close to the other two, but they do have some good boosted odds promos, which I’ve taken advantage of a few times.

My personal experience

Last winter, I was in Vancouver visiting family and decided to bet on a Canucks game. Placed my bet on Bet365 just before puck drop, and their in-play betting was a game-changer. Managed to hedge a little when the game looked like it was turning, and it actually saved me from a full loss. Lesson learned: live betting + cash-out features can be your best friends.

What matters when choosing a book?

✅ Odds – Obviously the most important. Even small differences add up over time.
✅ Ease of use – If I have to dig through menus just to find a bet, I’m out.
✅ Fast withdrawals – I don’t like waiting a week to see my money.
✅ Good promos – I’ll take free bets and odds boosts any day.

Final thoughts

For me, Bet365 is the best overall, but Sports Interaction sometimes sneaks ahead with better hockey odds. If you bet mostly on mobile, Betway is a strong contender too.

What’s been your experience? Any books offering better odds I should check out?
