Alright, this one’s ridiculous—I was bored last weekend, scrolling through the betting app, and for no good reason I threw a couple quid on a local Sunday League match I saw listed. Just one of those impulse bets where you don’t even expect to check the result.
Well… it actually hit.
Not a big win or anything (think it paid out just over £20), but the fact that it came through had me laughing for a good while. I don’t even know the teams, just liked the name “The Fighting Swans” and figured, why not?
Usually I’m sticking to Prem or the odd online poker table, but maybe I should start trusting my boredom bets more often. Anyone else had luck with some totally random, low-stakes match like that?
Might start putting together a “gut instinct” league at this rate.
