Hey everyone! Apparently, there was a wild proposal to rename Exhibition Station after Jackpot City, an online casino. 
Can you imagine waiting for the "Jackpot City GO Train"? Yeah, not exactly confidence-inspiring for making it on time, right?
To be honest, I'm a bit of a Jackpot City fan myself. I enjoy playing their online slots – they have some really cool themes. But even I have to admit, a casino name on a train station just feels a bit… odd.
Thankfully, it seems the Ontario Minister for Transport shut down the idea before it could roll into the station. Phew!
While I'm all for creative partnerships to fund our transit system, a gambling den just doesn't seem like the right fit for Exhibition Place, with its focus on family events and all. There are tons of great local businesses they could have partnered with instead. Maybe a brewery or something that captures the true Toronto spirit?
What do you guys think? Would a casino sponsorship have been a good idea for Exhibition Station? Sound off in the comments!
