Alright, fight fans, the David Benavidez vs David Morrell Jr clash is set for Saturday, February 1, at the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas, and I can’t wait for this one. Benavidez has been on fire lately—his power is no joke, and he’s coming off dominant performances, like in the Benavidez vs Gvozdyk fight where he left no doubt who’s the real deal. But Morrell is no pushover, with slick moves and some brutal finishes of his own.

The Benavidez next fight hype has been massive, especially with everyone itching for a Canelo vs Benavidez showdown. But before that can happen, Benavidez has to prove he can handle Morrell’s technical skills and speed. Ariel Helwani even mentioned how this fight could shape the division, and I agree—this isn’t just about an interim title; it’s about legacy.

If you’re betting, watch for David Benavidez odds leaning heavily in his favor, but don’t sleep on Morrell’s value as an underdog. Tips? Look for Benavidez to pressure hard in the later rounds—he’s a relentless fighter. Morrell’s path to victory is staying sharp, avoiding the brawl, and winning rounds with precision.

What do you think—are we getting another signature Benavidez finish, or does Morrell shock the world? Let’s hear your brutally honest takes!

Benavidez gave him the business. I spent all Saturday complaining about Canelo ducking Benavidez, but now that he’s fighting Crawford in September (holy shit!), I guess I have to stfu lol.

Vegas already likes Canelo a lot - he’s -205 at Betonline. Don’t see odds at Betwhale yet, which is where I usually play, but the fight was just announced.

Supposedly Benavidez now has to wait for the winner of Bidol/Beterbiev, but I guess the only way he fights Canelo is if Canelo loses to Crawford. Shame we never got that fight.

Benavidez was a beast, but Morrell’s got the slickness, if he stays on the outside and times those counters, this could be way closer than people think.

Odds-wise, I usually check BetWhale first cause they adjust quick on live bets. If you’re feeling risky, Morrell was an underdog has some nice value, but Benavidez late-round stoppage felt like the smart play for me. Either way it was a good one!

I thought I was being slick betting on Morrell to survive the later rounds... but nah, Benavidez turned him into a highlight reel. 😭 Lost a solid chunk, but hey, that’s the game. At least I had a side bet on Benavidez by KO, so I salvaged some of it. Next time, I’m sticking to what I know—never bet against a pressure fighter with gas for days!
