Do loyalty programs actually pay off in the long run?

I’ve been a member of a few casino loyalty programs, and I’m starting to wonder if they really offer value for the average player. The perks are nice – a free dinner here, a couple of free spins there – but it feels like you need to spend a lot to really get something substantial back. On the other side, if you’re already playing a lot, maybe it’s worth it. Anyone here actually see long-term benefits from these programs?

It’s like a hamster wheel – keeps you running, but you’re not going too far! Unless you’re a heavy player, just enjoy the small perks.
