Is neighbour bets the way to go?

I've recently been analyzing neighbour bets in roulette, and I came across a video where someone suggested combining them with a Fibonacci progression across six neighbouring numbers. The theory is that it gives you wider coverage while following a structured bankroll strategy to mitigate losses.

Mathematically, it makes some sense—you're increasing coverage while utilizing a system that theoretically recoups losses over time. But in practice, roulette remains a game of independent spins, and betting on neighbours doesn’t change the house edge. You could just as easily experience long losing streaks that stretch the Fibonacci sequence into uncomfortable territory.

Has anyone here had long-term success with neighbour bets? Do you find them more effective than straight-up bets or section-based strategies like Voisins/Tiers? Curious to hear how they’ve worked for others.
