Is online poker way harder than it used to be?

Alright, maybe it’s just me, but online poker in the UK has gotten brutal. A few years back, I could jump on PokerStars or 888poker and always find a couple of absolute punters at the table. You know the type—calling down with bottom pair, shoving with nonsense hands, or just generally playing like they found a poker guide five minutes before logging in. Now? Even in £5 or £10 games, everyone seems solid. It’s like they’ve all been studying solvers and watching coaching videos.

I still play live now and then at Grosvenor and Aspers, and it’s a totally different vibe. The games there still have plenty of recreational players, lots of loose calls, and far fewer people trying to play "perfect" poker. Maybe that’s the difference—online poker is just full of grinders now, and the casual players have mostly stuck to live games.

So what do you reckon? Have UK poker sites actually gotten tougher, or am I just not keeping up?
