I’m heading to California soon and was wondering—is sports betting legal in California yet? I know it’s been debated for years, but I have no clue where things stand in 2025. Can I just use a sports betting app in California, or do I have to get creative with an online sportsbook?
I’d love to bet on UFC, especially now that the Super Bowl is over. I usually throw down on football, but since the season’s wrapped up, I’m looking at UFC, NBA, and maybe some baseball futures. I also like doing a Pick 6 here and there if it’s available.
Are there any legit sports betting apps in California, or is it still all offshore books? I see ESPN pushing betting apps everywhere, but not sure if that applies to Cali. Also, do any apps let you place fun prop bets in the state, or is it all restricted?
Would appreciate any insight from locals or anyone who’s bet in California before. Trying to bet legally while I’m there instead of messing around with sketchy sites.
