Alright, folks, help me out here. I’m in Atlantic City, and maybe the salty air has fogged my brain, but I’m trying to wrap my head around this Martingale system thing. So, if I start with a $10 bet and lose, do I double the next bet to $20, then $40, $80, $160, and so on? Or is it more of a progressive climb—$10, $20, $30, $40?
I feel like I should know this, but hey, nobody said gambling was a MENSA-approved activity.
Seriously, though, if anyone can explain it without throwing in some crazy charts or overcomplicating things, I’d really appreciate it. Does this system actually work, or is it just a fast track to a zero balance?
Let me know your thoughts—bonus points if you’ve tried this system in a real casino and lived to tell the tale.
