Alright, fantasy hockey folks, if you’re not paying attention to the waiver wire, you’re probably leaving points on the table. I’ve been tweaking my roster this week, and there are a few names that stand out—especially if you need some power-play production.
First off, Elias Lindholm (RW, Bruins) is back on Boston’s top power-play unit, and that alone makes him worth a pickup. He’s putting up 2.29 FPPG over the last seven games—solid numbers for someone available in over 36% of leagues.
Then there’s Matthew Knies (LW, Leafs)—seriously, why is he still available in more than a third of leagues? Playing on a line with elite scorers and getting PP1 minutes is a fantasy goldmine. If you need goals and don’t grab him now, that’s on you.
Also, Boone Jenner (C, Blue Jackets) just got back into action and immediately contributed. If he can match last season’s 2.2 FPPG, he’s a sneaky grab for deeper leagues.
On defense, Mason Lohrei (D, Bruins) is interesting since he’s stepping into a bigger power-play role with McAvoy and Lindholm out. Boston’s PP isn’t elite, but minutes = opportunity, and he’s got a four-game week coming up.
Goalies are getting thin, but Eric Comrie (G, Jets) could be a spot starter this week. Winnipeg has a cupcake schedule, and if Comrie gets the Sharks and Preds, he might steal you some points.
Anyone else on your radar? I’m eyeing Dubois since his FPPG keeps creeping up—worth a stash or nah?
