Professional poker influencers

This has been on my mind for a while, and honestly, I can't be the only one seeing it. How many of these so-called "professional poker player" influencers actually make their living from poker and not from their social media presence or, dare I say, trust funds?

I mean, the way some of them play is so erratic and downright careless at times, it’s like they’re not even worried about losing a few grand here and there. Either they're raking it in from sponsors and YouTube ad revenue, or they’ve got some deep financial cushion making sure the stakes don't feel so high.

It makes me wonder:

  • Are they just content creators using poker as their content vehicle?
  • Are they actually good enough to rely on poker winnings alone, or is it all smoke and mirrors?
  • And how many of them are just trust fund babies masquerading as real poker pros?
I guess it all boils down to this – does anyone have actual examples of influencers who are genuinely making their living off poker alone? Because I’d love to see what that looks like in practice.
