I’ll admit, I’m not the most hardcore bettor—I just enjoy a cheeky wager here and there, especially on local football matches. But a few weeks ago, I placed a bet on a game I barely researched (big mistake, I know). I was at work when the match happened, busy treating a mischievous Labrador who decided to eat an entire sock.
Later, I checked my phone and saw my bet had won—no clue how, because I had honestly forgotten who I even placed it on. Turns out, a red card flipped the entire match, and I got lucky. Lesson learned: sometimes blind luck works, but I think I’ll stick to stats from now on.
