I’ve been wondering—has anyone properly calculated the expected value (EV) of FanDuel’s side bets in blackjack? I’m pretty sure they’re all massively house-favored (as most side bets are), but I’d love to see the exact numbers.
Ideally, I’m looking for:
EV of each side bet with a full shoe
How the EV changes in a high or low-count shoe (for those who count)
I tried running the numbers myself, but let’s just say my ChatGPT experiment failed miserably.
It was spitting out EVs that made no sense, so I don’t trust its math on this one.
I know that some side bets like 21+3 or Lucky Ladies can shift dramatically in value depending on the count, but I haven’t seen an actual FanDuel-specific breakdown yet. If someone has a detailed review or analysis, I’d love to see it!
If nobody has done it yet, I might try again—just need to find a calculator that won’t hallucinate numbers on me.
