Why are people always raising and reraising in poker?

Alright, before anyone jumps down my throat šŸ˜…, lemme just say this—yes, I’m a total newbie, yes, I’m probably what y’all call a ā€œfishā€ 🐟, and yes, I’ve barely scratched the surface of this poker thing.

So, here’s my confusion. Why do people keep raising and reraising when they’ve got hands like AA or KK? Like, I get that they’re strong hands, but if you keep scaring everyone off, doesn’t that mean you walk away with peanuts instead of a real pot? šŸ¤” Pocket aces or kings are such rare gems—shouldn’t you be trying to get as much value as possible from them? Why not just call and kinda disguise what you’ve got so the money flows in?

I’m open to being schooled here—hit me with the logic behind all this madness!
