Women's march madness predictions?

We’re getting into crunch time for Women’s March Madness, and this college basketball season is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in years. If you're not paying attention to the NCAA women's basketball tournament, you're seriously missing out.

Who’s looking like a No. 1 seed?

Right now, Texas, UCLA, Notre Dame, and South Carolina are the projected top seeds in the NCAA bracket. UCLA and USC have been absolute powerhouses in the Big Ten, and their upcoming rematch could shake things up in the rankings. If JuJu Watkins drops another 38+ point game like she did last time against UCLA, USC might even force their way into a Final Four spot.

Teams on the bubble

  • Last Four In: Columbia, Iowa State, Virginia Tech, Washington
  • First Four Out: Princeton, Saint Joseph’s, Marquette, Colorado
If you're filling out your bracket, watch out for NC State—they just beat Notre Dame in double OT, and they could easily move up a seed. Also, LSU is lurking as a No. 2 seed but could be a tournament dark horse.

Key Dates

The March Madness schedule has the Final Four set for April 4-6 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Selection Sunday is coming up soon, so we’ll have the official bracket soon enough.

Who are you betting on?

I’m thinking UConn might be the real sleeper here. They’re still undefeated in the Big East, and despite some early-season struggles, they have a solid basketball program when it comes to March. TCU also has been making some noise and could be a dangerous NCAA basketball team to keep an eye on.

Who’s everyone backing? Any NCAA men’s basketball fans switching over to the women’s tournament this year? Let’s hear those predictions before the games start!
