So here’s a proper tale for you: it’s late, well past the hour when I should’ve been asleep, and I’m staring at the roulette wheel on my laptop. £50 in, just to see what happens. A few safe red/black bets warmed me up, but then I fancied a gamble and went for a straight-up number. Landed on 23—boom! Turned my £50 into £450 quicker than my husband could’ve said, “Don’t get carried away.” 
But you know what’s coming, right? I didn’t stop. Kept chasing that thrill until I ended up with, well… nothing. Not even a penny to celebrate with a cuppa the next morning.
So now I’m wondering—how do you all manage to walk away when the table’s on fire? I’m open to any tips or tricks you use to keep your winnings in your pocket (or at least enough for a takeaway). Let’s hear it before I go back in next weekend and make the same mistake again! Cheers!
