So, some online poker sites have this bad beat counter that tracks how often a player is running cold or hot based on their last 10/25/100 showdowns. I’ve been wondering—how do you actually use this info to gain an edge?
My theory:
Anyone here using this data to exploit tendencies? Does this match your observations, or am I overthinking this?
My theory:
- If a villain is running hot, they might get overconfident and start playing loose-aggressive, taking unnecessary risks.
- If they’re running cold, they could tighten up, playing scared money.
