Betting on niche sports – is it worth the risk?

I’ve been traveling through Southeast Asia and stumbled across some wild betting markets—like sepak takraw and even underwater hockey (yes, it’s a thing). Betting on niche sports seems risky but offers insane odds if you know what you're doing. Has anyone here ever tried betting on something completely out of left field? How did it go? I might throw a few bucks on something random just for the thrill.
