I was in Bali last month, and I thought placing a quick bet on the AFL would be simple. Nope. First, my usual site blocked me for being outside Australia. Then I tried a local sportsbook, but the sign-up process was more complicated than applying for a passport.
Eventually, I just asked a friend back home to place the bet for me. Not ideal, but it worked. Has anyone else had to jump through hoops to bet while traveling, or is it just me attracting bad luck?
