Alright, so I’ve been surfing most of my life—wake up early, paddle out, chase waves. Naturally, I figured betting on surfing would be a thing by now. But every time I check a sportsbook, there’s barely anything there.
Tried placing a bet on the WSL Championship Tour, and the options were beyond basic—just outright winner bets, no props, no live betting. I wanted to bet on which surfer would get the highest wave score or who’d win their heat, but nope—nothing. Meanwhile, you can bet on esports, darts, and even competitive eating.
Why is a global sport like surfing being ignored? Anyone found a sportsbook that actually gives decent options for surfing bets? Or is the market just too niche?
